Riccardo Grosso & Band (IT) l Date: 26.08.22; Time: 20:00

Zum Livestream - Fan the Flames - Nadine

Belgrade-born bandleader, singer, guitarist and composer Zed Mitchell began his career as a professional musician in 1970, during which time he played with many well-known bands in Yugoslavia.

In 1974 he had his first international hit single with his own band "LAND" called "SHOSHANA" for POLYDOR Europe. Circle of Mud (FRA), 27.05.22, 20:00

Born from the idea to create a blues/roots formation that combines blues and roots music with contemporary sounds, guitarist Gino Monachello contacted singer, guitarist, composer and writer Flo Bauer (Revelation Blues sur Seine in 2016, winner of PROMO BLUES NIGHT Festival Blues Basel 2018, 1/4 finalist of The Voice in 2014) to win him for this project. The two musicians had already considered working on a joint project in the past. And with CIRCLE OF MUD, the time is now there to put this plan into action.

With Matthieu Zirn (Charles Aznavour, Véronique Sanson, Hugh Coltman, etc.) on drums and Frank Bedez (Charles Aznavour, Charlie McCoy, Johnny Hallyday, Eddy Mitchell, etc.) on bass, they quickly found a perfectly matched rhythm section.

The whole thing is directed by a master hand of David Husser (Depeche Mode, Mylène Farmer and others), a prodigy of production who makes this project rise to unexpected heights. CIRCLE OF MUD have understood what Contemporary Blues and Roots music represents.

The music is strong and accessible and for a wide audience. The joy of playing of these outstanding musicians is immediately noticeable after the first notes on stage.

Currently the band is in the studio where they are recording their debut album, which will be released this year and will undoubtedly impress the blues world and fans of roots music will be impressed. CIRCLE OF MUD remember this name!
